Objectives of the Bonding Principles Seminars

The seminars are provided free of cost at various locations around the state for both SBEs and DBEs to obtain the knowledge and become familiar with the requirements, principles and practices of bonding procedures. The seminar includes instruction in overview of bonding and construction, types of bonds, rights of the surety, reasons for default, description of surety industry bonding criteria, loan and bond package portfolio checklist, and evaluation of bond application. This service is optional for DBEs who are currently able to obtain bonding.
